NEWS FLASH!!
(Updated March 2, 2010)

*****************************
We are pleased to announce that Dr Larry Schor, a licensed psychotherapist in the state of Georgia, and cluster headache sufferer himself, will be giving a presentation on the psychological aspects of CH for both sufferer's AND supporters. He will also facilitate a group therapeutic discussion session for anyone who wants to attend.

We are pleased to announce Dr Manjit Matharu has graciously consented to speak at this year's convention.  Dr Matharu has taken over Professor Goadsby's role at the Institute of Neurology in London. He trained under Prof. Goadsby and is considered to now be the top headache specialist in England. he is widely published and devoted to helping people with Cluster Headaches as much as he possibly can.

Manjit will speak on Cluster Headaches in general, research and treatments available.

We're also planning a "Who's afraid of the Big Bad ONSI?" presentation.
A great many of our members are intractable cluster headache sufferers and are running out of options. The ONSI or Occipital Nerve Stimulator Implant has attracted a lot of negativity amongst cluster headache circles as it's still a relatively new operation.
We at OUCH want to give facts and more importantly, first hand experiences.
To that end, Dr Matharu will also talk about who can consider ONSI, who shouldn't, and also about the operation from a neurologists point of view.
Carrie Preston, an OUCH member who has had the ONSI will talk about her experiences with the operation and how it affected her quality of life both in the short and long term.
We are also trying to have a rep from the Stimulator company talk about what is available on the market now, how they have fixed problems with older devices and what's in the pipeline for future development.
We hope it will answer peoples questions and give people the knowledge to make a considered decision should that need arise.

We are still planning more so watch this space!

******************************

Professor Goadsby has chosen to speak at the OUCH Convention on July 17, 2010.

Details will be forthcoming as we receive them.
